Opportunity

An apprenticeship position is available for the 2008 season. We are located in
beautiful southwest Michigan just 15 miles south of Holland, MI near Lake
Michigan and 2 hours from Chicago. Our organic orchard business is in its eighth
year and our cheese business is currently being developed, with commercial
production to begin this summer. Currently, there are 15 does, numerous kids,
horses and a few chickens. The position responsibilities include, but may not be
limited to:

" help with dairy construction
" help with milking parlor and milk room chores
" assist in daily animal care including barn maintenance, pasture rotation,
fencing etc.
" help with organic orchard maintenance May through August
" harvesting fruit and assisting U-pick customers September-October

We are looking for someone with a strong, flexible work ethic, a willingness to
learn how to run farm equipment and work with large animals. Housing, utilities
and stipend are provided. 4 hours a day, six days a week with a 3 month
